Artrage iPad painting

I've tried Artrage for iPad in the past but didn't really get it to do what I wanted. But after I saw some wonderful paintings done by Rick Graham I asked him about his workflow and decided to give Artrage another try. Still have a lot to learn but I'm quite happy with this sketch.

The world would love to know some of the techniques you have discovered to break the digital barrier with the ipad. I still cannot get mine to feel right with the flow of the media.

Thanks Mike. I got a few tips from Rick:

He usually works in the default resolution (faster saves), chooses a canvas color, adds another layer to make his pencil drawing, paints with oil on the canvas layer (underneath the drawing) and gets rid of the drawing layer towards the end. That was basically it.

for this painting I took my time with the brushstrokes, more or less like I paint with real oil paint. And the more paint there is on the canvas, the more fun it gets so try to cover up the canvas a quickly as possible. Hope that helps somewhat.

Thank you Sam, the iPad is a nice tool to experiment with. But oilpaint is still my favorite.
