One of my goals for the new year is to do more drawing and sketching, so here is the first (rusty) attempt at doing a portrait sketch.

Cool! Bonus points for the right answer :)
Didn't think anyone would recognize him. Lots of character in his face.

This drawing doesn't look rusty to me! It is lovely and sensitive. Looking forward to more. Also, you are an inspiration - we should all be doing portrait sketches all the time!

That's good, Erik! I also recognized him immediately.

Sarah and Arto: Thanks so much! That's good to hear.

It might be rusty to you, but I see an excellently done sketch. It encourages me to do more.

Very nice composition. The face is very fine and the shading is well done. Can't wait to see the good stuff.

Lokelani: That's such nice thing to say, we can never sketch too much.

Stan: Thank you! That made me smile, I can't wait to see the good stuff too :)
